Highlights of the 310th Purchase Commerce Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on Friday, the 3rd September, 2004 at GEB VIP Guest House, Gandhinagar T.P.S.

The following Members were present.

Dr. Manjula Subramaniam, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Govt. of Gujarat & Shri Balvant Singh, Principal Secretary, Energy & Petrochemicals Deptt., Govt. of Gujarat also attended.

Shri BJ Bhatt, Secretary to the Board was in attendance.

1. The Minutes of the 309th Purchase Committee Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on 31st July, 2004 at GEB, HO, Sardar Patel Vidyut Bhavan, Race Course, Vadodara were confirmed vide Resol.No. 1/310 dtd. 3.9.2004.

2. The Compliance Report in respect of action taken on the decisions of the 309th Purchase Committee Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on 31st July, 2004 at GEB H.O. Baroda was perused and approved vide Resol.No. 2/310 dtd. 3.9.2004..

3. The Purchase committee approved vide Resol.No. 3/310 dtd. 3.9.2004 the purchase of various sizes of Bolts and Nuts  from the following firms -  (1) M/s. A.V. Forgings (2) M/s. Techman (for 65x16mm) for 180x16mm (i) M/s.Pearl Fastners (ii) M/s. N.L. Engrs. Ltd. (iii) M/s. A.V. Forgings Ltd.  & for 300x16mm from M/s. Techman and M/s. Pearl Fastners.

4. The Purchase Committee  accorded its approval vide Resol.No. 4/310 dtd. 3.9.2004 for placement of orders on the following parties for purchase various types of 11/22KV Combined CTPT Sets with 3 CTs.

1. M/s. India Transformers Co., Thana (2) Universal Magnaflux, Indore, (3) M/s. Niksan Engg. Co. Vadodara (4) Narayan Power Tech. Padra and (5) Apoorva Electricals, Indore.

5. The Purchase Committee accorded its approval for placement of order on the following parties for purchase of various sizes of MS Beams 400x140MM, 150x75MM (Both in lengths of 9 to 12 Mtrs.) & M.S. Beams – 150x150MM x 13 Mtrs vide Resolution No. 5/310 dated 3rd September, 2004.

M/s. Shah Alloys Ltd., Ahmedabad, (2) M/s. Sanjay Rolling & Engg. Ltd. Nagpur and (3) M/s. Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (for 152x152 MM with Sectional Weight of 30 Kg/Mtr.)

6. The Purchase committee perused the proposal and accorded post facto approval vide Resol. No. 6/310 dtd. 3rd Sept., 2004  for the order placed on M/s. Alstom Project India Ltd., for supply of 1 set of Girth Gear and Pinion set for tube mill BBD-3448 for Silla TPS.

7. The Purchase committee accorded approval vide Resol. No. 7/310 dtd. 3rd Sept., 2004 for placement of repeat order for purchase of additional quantity of 11 KV Disc Hardware by way of Repeat Order from M/s. Jayshree Inds. & M/s. S.A. Enterprise.

8. The Purchase Committee deliberated and accorded approval vide Resol. No. 8/310 dtd. 3rd Sept., 2004 for purchase of GI Plain and Stay wires from the following parties.

(1) M/s. Surya Wires, Raipur (2) M/s. U.I.C. Wires, Kolkatta (3) M/s. Swastic Wires, Raipur (3) M/s. Ramsarup Ind. Corp. Kolkatta

9. The Purchase committee accorded approval vide Resol. No. 9/310 dtd. 3rd Sept.,2004  for the purchase of A.C.s.R. Zebra (420 mm2 ) & Panther (200mm2) Conductor from (1) M/s. Anamika  (2) M/s. Prem Conductor & (3) M/s. Apar Industries.

10. The Purchase committee accorded approval vide Resol. No. 10/310 dtd. 3rd Sept., 2004 to purchase of 3 Phase H.T. Tri-Vector Meters of -/5A rating from (1) M/s. Elster Metering  (2) M/s. Secure Meters and (3) M/s. L&T

11. The Purchase committee accorded approval vide Resol. No. 11/310 dtd. 3rd Sept., 2004 for the purchase of 22 KV XLPE cable   from (1) M/s. Universal Cables, Satana and (2) M/s. Torrent, Ahmedabad.
