Highlights of the 309^th Purchase Commerce Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on Saturday, the 31^st July, 2004 at GEB H.O., Sardar Patel Vidyut Bhavan, Race Course, Vadodara.

The following Members were present.

Shri PK Laheri, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Gujarat could not attend.

Smt. Sudha Anchalia,  Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Govt. of Gujarat could not attend.

Shri BJ Bhatt, Secretary to the Board was in attendance.

Shri C.I. Joy, M.D. UGVCL was present.

1. The Minutes of the 308^th Purchase Committee Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on 31^st July, 2004 at GEB, HO, Sardar Patel Vidyut Bhavan, Race Course, Vadodara were confirmed.

2. The Compliance Report in respect of action taken on the decisions of the 308^th Purchase Committee Meeting of the Gujarat Electricity Board held on 31^st July, 2004 at GEB H.O. Baroda was perused and approved.

3. The Purchase committee approved the purchase of various sizes of MS Plates Cheq.  Plates, HR Sheets vide Resolution No. 3/309 dated 31^st July, 2004 from the following parties :

MS Plates 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 16mm, 20mm, 40mm, HR Sheets 2mm, 2.5mm 3.15mm, 4mm, Chequered Plate 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, SAIL HARD Plates 10mm, 12mm from M/s. SAIL, Ahmedabad and  MS Plates 12mm, SAIL HARD Plates 5mm from M/s. Shah Alloys, Ahmedabad.

4. The Purchase Committee after deliberation accorded its approval for placement of order on the following parties for purchase of various sizes of MS channels vide Resolution No. 4/309 dated 31^st July, 2004.

 For MS Channel 200 x 75 mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.), 150 x 75 MM (9 to 12 Mtrs.) & MS Channels 100 x 50 x 5mm x 9 Mtrs from M/s. SAIL, Ahmedabad, MS Channels 125 x 65 mm x 9 Mtrs. From M/s. Shah Alloys Ltd., Ahmedabad and Sanvijay Rolling, Nagpur.

5. The Purchase committee accorded its approval for placement of order on the following parties for purchase of various sizes of MS Flats vide Resolution No. 5/309 dated 31^st July, 2004.

MS Plates 100 x 12mm & 35 x 6mm from M/s. Shah Alloys, Ahmedabad.  MS Plates 75 x 10mm from Mahavir Rolling Ahmedabad and M/s. Bhuwalka Steel Indus., Mumbai.  MS Plates 50 x 6mm from Mahavir Rolling, Ahmedabad and M/s. Bhuwalka Steel Indus., Mumbai.

6. 6.       The Purchase committee consider the Note and after deliberation and decision accorded its approval for purchase of various sizes of MS Angles from the following parties :

MS Angles 110 x 110 x 10mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.), M.S. Angles 90 x 90 x 8mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.), MS Angles 90 x 90 x 6mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.), MS Angles 80 x 80 x 6mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) MS Angles 75 x 75 x 8mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) MS Angles 75 x 75 x 6 mm  (9 to 12 Mtrs.) MS Angles 70 x 70 x 5mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) MS Angles 65 x 65 x 8mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) from SAIL, Ahmedabad.  MS Angles 90 x 90 x 10mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) & MS Angles 70 x 70 x 5mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) from Shah Alloys, Ahmedabad.  MS Angles 65 x 65 x 6mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) from SAIL, Ahmedabad and Mahavir Ahmedabad.  MS Angles 55 x 55 x 6mm (9  to 12 Mtrs.) from Shah Alloys, Ahmedabad.  MS Angles 50 x 50 x 6mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) from M/s. SAIL Ahmedabad and M/s. Mahavir Rolling Ahmedabad.  MS Angles 50 x 50 x 5mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.), MS Angles 40 x 40 x 5mm (9 to 12 Mtrs.) 7. The Purchase committee perused the Note and approved the placement of order for purchase of MS Beams 116 x 100 mm x 11 Mtrs. Vide Resolution No. 7/309 dated 31^st July, 2004 from M/s. Bhuwalka, Mumbai and M/s. Shah Alloys, Ahmedabad.
